13th May 2017 saw the return of the Scottish Goodwill Championships to our
Taekwondo-UK calendar of events.
This event hasn't taken place for a few years and we were all very much
looking forward to its return.
team of 21 competitors from across the Trident Group as well as several coaches
and umpires travelled up to Edinburgh to take part and support the event. Most of the group were staying together
in a hotel in Dunfermline and we all enjoyed taking the time to relax and
socialise together on the Friday night when we arrived before the busy day we
had ahead of us on the Saturday and celebrated together on the Saturday night
after the competition was over.

- £20 / Spectators – Free
The Trident Colour Belt Championships will be held on
Sunday 5 March at George H Carnall Leisure Centre, Kingsway Park,
Davyhulme, Manchester, M41 7FJ.
Saturday 16th September
This seminar is open to all green belts to red belts although black tags are welcome to attend. All ages may attend (Adult - Junior - Peewee). The training fee is £7 (£5 each if more than one from the same family are training). The training will take place at Ashton on Mersey High School, Cecil Avenue, Sale from 1pm to 4pm.
Although it is not compulsory to attend the seminar so that you can grade I believe that there are big gains to be made by doing so.
There will be a patterns competition at the end of the seminar for all age groups with bronze, silver and gold medals up for grabs.
Izzy Brider travelled over to Finland for her first senior event after having a brilliant last year as a junior in 2015 becoming European and World Champion at patterns.
I am very happy to report that Izzy won a bronze medal in individual sparring and was a member of the England sparring team who won a silver medal.
